The results of the Plus Two public examinations conducted in March this year will be published on May 9, according to School Education Minister Thangam Thennarasu.

The Minister's announcement comes a week after School Education Secretary D. Sabitha had said that the results would be out on May 14.

In a press release here, the Minister said work on evaluating answer papers of the Standard X public examinations of March/April was on. The date of announcement of results would be decided after evaluation work. Mr. Thennarasu said Standard X candidates could know their results through their schools, the websites announced by the department and SMS.

Meanwhile, in a release, the Director of Matriculation Schools said notices had been issued to nearly 200 schools, which did not have infrastructural facilities as per government norms, asking them to show cause why their temporary recognition should not be withdrawn.

The schools had applied for renewal of recognition.
