Buddy4study is a single point platform for school students and providing relevant information and mentorship in a comprehensive way. An emerging online education material and service provider in India, Buddy4study was founded in 2011 with a single mission — to create an information platform for students and provide them an opportunity and access to educational resources and spread awareness.
From being an online portal, providing career counseling, exam-oriented study material, study forums, scholarship information to networking opportunity among students, teachers and mentors, Buddy4study allows students to connect with the alumni for proper mentor-ship.
Buddy4study has already gained popularity for its services aligned with the expectations of its users-students, teachers, mentors and the alumni alike. Ashutosh, a marine engineer, approached his buddy Sandeep Kumar, B.Tech, to share his idea in contributing to society and creating social values. They both felt the need for mentorship while they were in schools. During his MBA programme in IMT Ghaziabad, the idea buzzed Ashutosh again, when he felt a difference in his resume profile in comparison to his other batch mates. This encouraged him to build a platform where future students from small towns could also access information.
He carried out a survey in eight schools with over thousand students and found out that there exists a significant information gap about scholarships and competitions. And this is how buddy4study came about.
How it works
It is a single platform for all upcoming scholarships with deadlines, supporting forms, materials and discussion forum to raise queries. Users can check and apply on time. Students can download competition material and gauge themselves in advance. Information is available through the year. You can also be alerted through SMS and e-mails. They are also in the process of making scholarship application process online. Some other key features include a career counselling forum, online study material, scholarship information updates and educational websites for students.
