Paper I of the National Eligibility Test (NET) is meant to test the teaching/research aptitude of the candidate, which is different from testing a candidate in their core subject area. Hence, this book covers subjects Paper I is based on. Methods of teaching, changing paradigms, evaluation system; research techniques and methods, thesis writing, et al, are covered in the first two sections.

A good set of exercises and introductory notes will help you with the reading comprehension and the communication section. The section on information and communication technology covers definitions, shortcuts and abbreviations.
