Applications are invited for the British Council IELTS Scholarship Award 2014.
Eight successful winners will receive an award of Rs.3,00,000 each towards the cost of tuition fees.
The winners will need to begin a full-time programme at any overseas university that uses IELTS as a measure of English language proficiency as part of their admission process.
To be eligible for the scholarship, a candidate must:
Be a resident and citizen of India
Have taken the IELTS test with the British Council, recently
Have a minimum overall IELTS band score of 6.0
Produce a valid letter of acceptance/offer letter from a recognised educational institution that accepts IELTS as part of its admissions criteria
Begin an undergraduate or postgraduate programme outside India in the 2014 academic year
