Two students trained by the Institute for Administrative Services Coaching (IASC) at Madras Christian College have cleared the prestigious civil services examinations. Prem Kumar V. R. and Babu Abdul Khadeer, who had their coaching at the IASC, have been selected for the civil services in the UPSC results announced recently.

This institute was established in 2012 as a part of quartoseptcentennial celebrations of the college with partial funding by the UGC for training and equipping students with skills necessary for the exam.

As a part of the plan, students belonging to SC/ST/OBC minority communities are given free coaching classes.

The institute also trains students for bank exams, GATE, UGC-NET, SET, TET, etc. The IASC, MCC is currently providing services to about 300 students.
