First in Spelling Bee Competition

In the national level Wordsworth International Spelling Bee Competition (Category III) for the year 2011-12, G. Nikitaa of IV B of Kola Perumal Vaishnav Senior Secondary School, Arumbakkam, won the first prize. The contest was held at Thiagarajar College of Engineering, Madurai, on June 23. Nikitaa’s admirable memory power and confidence won her the first prize which included a four-gram gold coin, prize money of Rs. 5,000, International Business English Book and a trophy. She also received a certificate for her outstanding performance.

Nikitaa has been selected to represent the school at the International Level Championship too.
