Winners of the 'Amrita TBI Pitchest 2015'

Utsav

The BMS College campus wore a festive look as the 28th edition of the techno-cultural intercollegiate fest ‘Utsav’ was held. The theme for Utsav 2015 — “A 2D escapade” — revolved around cartoons and comics and a walk down memory lane. The paths were lined with action figures and cartoons from Mickey Mouse to Winnie the Pooh, The Power Puff Girls to Superman.

Conference

A students’ conference on “Emerging trends in services sector to transform Indian economy” was conducted by Sambhram School of Management with 14 teams participating.

The first prize for the best paper presentation was bagged by MLA College, Malleswaram. The presentations covered various service sectors such as retail, healthcare, tourism, information technology, banking, insurance, online education and entertainment.

Aeromodelling

Team Arcis, the aeromodelling team of Dayananda Sagar College of Engineering, has designed and fabricated an aero model for the global aero modelling competition SAE Aero Design West 2015, which will be held in California, U.S., from April 24 to 26.

The event is organised by SAE withthe support of NASA, Boeing, Lockheed Martin, and Northrop Grumman.

Incubator

Amrita Technology Business Incubator, the non-profit incubator supported by the Government of India and Amrita University, will invest $ 100,000 in India’s top five start-up companies.

The winners were chosen through ‘The TBI Pitch Fest 15’ event.
