The results of Common Admission Test (CAT)-2009 have been deferred to February end, an official statement from the convenor of CAT-2009 at Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad (IIM-A) said on Saturday.

The results were supposed to be declared this week.

The convenor, however, did not state a reason for the delay.

The CAT-2009 examination, it may be recalled, ran into technical glitches, causing inconvenience to many who appeared for the exam.

There are over 120 non-member management schools registered with CAT, which use the CAT score as the criteria for granting admissions, apart from the eight IIMs.
