M.Sc. courses at Loughborough

The Department of Social Sciences at Loughborough University has introduced MSc courses in two new and fast-growing areas of communication - Conversation Analysis and Discursive Psychology. The MSc programme in Conversation Analysis will deal with the study of the ways in which speakers use different structures of conversation to perform their social actions. The MSc in Discursive Psychology will focus on the study of how psychological phenomena such as knowledge, memory, motivation, attitudes and feelings are constructed and managed in talk and texts, and the consequences for people relationships with one another.

The fee structure for the one-year full-time programmes is £13750 for non-EU/UK students. Both courses will be available as part-time options, and can also be taken as either a postgraduate certificate or a postgraduate diploma.

The courses commence in October 2014 and students are advised to send the applications by May 23. Students willing to apply must have a minimum of 60 per cent in Social or Health Sciences, Humanities, Linguistics or associated subjects.
