VIT University student Saurabh Narang was awarded the VIT University scholarship for his research at the University of Queensland, Australia.
Narang who is a final-year B. Tech - Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering (EIE) student got the opportunity to go to the University of Queensland this year to conduct a research project on “Computer Simulation of NMR Signal Evolution between J-coupled Spins in an Adiabatic RF field to see the response” under the guidance of Dr. Yas Tesiram.
He applied for the scholarship programme and was one of the two students selected from a shortlist of about 35 students.
An ace student, Narang was the topper in EIE for the year 2011-2012 and has been among the top three till now. Narang says he wishes to be a part of the exciting pursuit of unlocking various scientific advancements for the betterment of mankind. “The research programme is a stepping stone in this direction. It helped me gain hands-on experience and acquire specialisation in the desired field of study,” he says.
Narang was also awarded the Certificate of Recognition for the successful completion of the research programme by UQ, Australia. “I received a scholarship for my selection as a Winter Research Scholar. Only two such international students from the world get selected for the Department of Centre For Advanced Imaging at The University of Queensland,” says Narang.
