The Hindu Education Plus International Education Fair drew a crowd, as close to 2500 people visited the stalls put up by representatives from various countries. There were about 60 stalls in all, with representatives from U.S.A., the U.K., Russia, Canada, Australia, Malaysia, Singapore, Dubai, France, Poland, Sweden, Latvia and others. Some of the best universities and colleges from around the world had stalls at the event, showcasing a wide variety of courses. Students and parents spent quality time at the fair as there were informative seminar sessions by the official education boards/consulate offices. There were also representatives from banks with information on education loans and airlines and travel agents to tell the visitors about travel solutions and offers for travelling students. Indian Overseas Bank, British Airways, Thomas Cook and Radio One partnered with The Hindu to make the even a successful one.
