VITT

Vaishnavi Institute of Technology-Tanapally (VITT), Tirupati Rural, celebrated its College Day in the form of a grand celebration at SVU Srinivasa auditorium recently.

M.M. Naidu, a professor of computer science engineering and Dean of SVU College of Engineering took part as the chief guest and spoke on career-building. He said the students would not only have to work hard, but also exhibit qualities like rational thinking, keen observation and analysis. “Getting a good degree is easy, but making a good career involves much more than that, for which hard work has no substitution.

Noted gynaecologist and management secretary of VITT K.Ramachandra gave a message to the youth to make a ‘Healthy India', wherein he asked the students to take care of the elders. While India is moving forward economically, it is taking a retrograde step in social and cultural spheres, he rued, advising the youth not to imitate the negative elements of western culture. Academic Director V.V.Muniswamy explained the progress made by the college on all aspects, while principal P.Nandakumar presented the presidential note on achievements in the academic year 2011-12 and enlisted the victories of VITT's students. Later, medals and trophies were presented to winners of academic, sports and games events. The cultural show enthralled the participants.
