Application forms for admission to MBBS / BDS courses for the 2010-11 session will be sold at the K.A.P.V. Government Medical College and all other government medical colleges in Tamil Nadu on all days from May 17 to 31, including Sundays and other Government holidays. According to a communication from Dean In-Charge of K.A.P.V. Government Medical College M. Abdul Aleem, the common application form costs Rs. 500. The cost will be Rs. 100 for applicants in special categories: children of freedom fighter, ex-servicemen, eminent sportsperson, and physically challenged person. The special category application forms will be issued on payment of Rs. 100 in the form of demand draft. They also have to apply in the common application prescribed for general category and special category.
As for SC / SC – Arundatiyar/ ST candidates, the application form will be issued free of cost on production of attested photo copies of the community certificate. The demand draft payable in Chennai can be drawn in a nationalised bank in favour of the Secretary, Selection Committee, Chennai – 10. Sale of application forms will end at 3p.m. on May 31, Dr. Aleem said.
