The TATA First Dot, powered by NEN — the country’s first national recognition and mentoring platform for student start-ups is inviting people to vote online to determine five people’s choice winners in the competition for best student start-ups.

In the first component, workshops featuring business-modelling, panel discussions and entrepreneur interactions were held across 20 cities in the country including five additional cities — Raipur, Guwahati, Ranchi, Nagpur and Srinagar.

The second component of the programme has two competitions running in parallel — the jury-based Tata First Dot national competition and the public-voting-based Tata First Dot People’s Choice competition. As the second component of this programme begins, the general public is invited to vote online for their favourite start-ups.

The detailed profiles of the 415 shortlisted student ventures have been showcased on the Tata First Dot website.

People can log on to www.tatafirstdot.com to cast their votes, and support the young entrepreneurs in achieving their dreams. This year, a mobile-application platform has also been introduced for ease of access and voting.

The last day for voting is January 15.
