Description: The Young India Foundation, with a view to identifying and developing unique and high potential of students of India through a multi-disciplinary programme has started the The Young India Fellowship (YIF).

Interested candidates in the final year of their UG programme or who are fresh graduates, and UG or PG students in any form of specialization may apply. A good command over English is necessary, but they can be from any language background. The maximum age of the applicant must not be more than 28 years. Further, the selection criteria are based on the applicant’s performance or talent in his/her area of interest and he/she must be passionate to learn things beyond the curriculum.

Design and Analysis of Experiments

Description: The workshop is organized by The Statistical Quality Control & Operations Research Division, ISI, at its Kolkata campus. The main aim is to provide laboratory scientists, post-doctoral students and research fellows a systematic, scientific approach to experimentation.

Viterbi-India Programme

Research Internship at USC Viterbi School of Engineering

Description: The Viterbi School of Engineering, located at the University of Southern California (USC), and the Indo-US Science and Technology Forum (IUSSTF) have come together to support the Viterbi-India Program. This program comprises a research internship for Indian students at the Viterbi School of Engineering. The chief aim is to promote research and capacity-building in the top areas of engineering and technology. The internship takes place in the summer of 2013 for a period of eight weeks.

The internship is for Indian students currently pursuing bachelor's or master's in Electrical Engineering, Computer Sciences and Computational Sciences. Only those students (3rd year onwards) who complete their degree program from recognized institutes of higher education in India on or after May 2014 can apply. The candidates should have a GPA of 8.5 or higher (85 per cent or higher)

The internship provides an excellent opportunity for Indian students to interact with fellow American students and help build long-lasting collaborations and R&D linkages. The scholarship includes stipend and airfare.
