The BITS, Hyderabad Campus will host the prestigious annual conference of the IEEE India Council “INDICON” from December 16 to 18. The event is being organised by the IEEE Hyderabad section which has more than 4000 members in the State. IEEE is the world's largest scientific and technical society with a membership of around four lakhs located in over 160 countries. The conference will bring together researchers, academicians and professionals in the field of engineering from all over India to share their original research work and contributions. It covers the fields of Computer Sciences and Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Life Sciences, Technology Management among other areas of discipline. Apart from presentations it also has poster sessions and tutorials and workshops. The conference will also witness some of the eminent speakers for key note and plenary sessions and invited talks. Gordon Day, IEEE President-Elect, 2011 and 2012 IEEE Computer Society President, Mr. John Walz will attend in this programme. Karthik Siddavaram, one of the organisers involved in the event said the conference has launched a Video Contest with the theme “Engineering Sustainable Solutions”.
