College day: Mysore Sales International Ltd (MSIL) chairman M.L. Anilkumar expressed concern over growing bad habits among younger generation. Youth should stay away from activities which are detrimental for the society and adopt ideals of great people to build a healthy society, he said while addressing the annual day function of Gokul College here. Students should not be distracted by other activities during their student life and concentrate on academic activities.

Kolar District PU Colleges Lecturers’ Association president T.K. Nataraj underlined the need for inculcating good habits. “It is wise to pursue better opportunities rather than waiting for such opportunity”, he opined. It is necessary to mould a good life in the present competitive world, he said.

The annual souvenir “Jnan Gokula” was released on the occasion. Principal Madangopal was present.

NSS camp: Government First Grade College, Vemagal, organised a NSS camp at Shettalli in Kolar taluk recently.

Speaking as chief guest poet Sharanappa Gabbur called upon students to spare some time for social service even in future also.
