Admission to paramedical courses in State

The LBS Centre for Science and Technology has invited applications for admission to two-year professional diploma courses in Pharmacy and other paramedical streams in government institutions and government-controlled self-financing institutions and private self-financing institutions that enter into an agreement with the State government.

The paramedical courses comprise diploma programmes in Pharmacy, Health Inspector, Medical Laboratory Technology, Radiological Technology, Ophthalmic Assistance, Dental Mechanics, Dental Hygienist, Operation Theatre and Anaesthesia Technology, Cardiovascular Technology, Neuro Technology, Dialysis Technology, Endoscopic Technology, Dental Operating Room Assistance and Respiratory Technology.

The applicants should have passed Plus Two with 40 per cent marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology put together. In the absence of candidates with these qualifications, those who have passed Plus Two with 40 per cent marks in any group of subjects put together will be considered for the Health Inspector course. The mark limit is relaxed by five per cent for applicants belonging to the Scheduled Castes and the Scheduled Tribes.

Applicants should be in the 17-35 age group as on December 31. Submit a single online application through >www.lbscentre.org or >www.lbskerala.com for all courses from July 12 to August 2. Application fee is Rs. 300 (Rs. 150 for those belonging to the Scheduled Castes and the Scheduled Tribes). Before online registration, pay the fee at any branch of Federal Bank in Kerala from July 11 onwards and get a receipt carrying a unique application number and security key. Prospectus can be had from any of the LBS Centre’s facilitation centres on production of the bank receipt or downloaded from the website. Applicants should keep the security key confidential. Login to the website and click the link “Admission to Professional Diploma Courses 2012 in Pharmacy and Paramedical Streams” by using the application number, the security key and a password. Submit personal data and upload a photograph. On completing the online registration, the website generates a “registration ID.” Take a printout of the application and send it with attested copies of certificates to the Director, LBS Centre for Science and Technology, Nandavanam, Palayam, Thiruvananthapuram – 695 033 so as to reach there on or before August 4. Options may be registered online after the rank list is published. The centralised allotment process made by the Director of Medical Education will be through a single-window system.
