Ten years ago when Evam was yet a pipe dream, theatre was the bastion of the older generation —a hobby and an amusement, as outlet for most practitioners, or a oft lament-worthy unviable profession to be in. Today we see it thriving in all its forms — as Live shows of all shapes and sizes, conventional and unconventional venues, as workshops for aspiring practitioners, competitions between colleges to elect the best, and its applications into Corporate spaces to energise people into work mode.

Theatre has come a long way in the last ten years, and today youngsters see it as a platform to showcase themselves and vibe with like minded people like themselves. It’s for the sensitive, action seeking, proud, young activist who wants to make a mark! And the medium's sustained continuity and life belong to these young people who dream businesses with theatre and the arts, and as creative outlets with social meaning as well.

Today Evam is powered by 10 youngsters as full timers across three markets, one international, and a part time team of college students earning their first work experience — these are INtrepreneurs in the truest sense of the word —doing everything from filing the accounts, building the business, sweeping the stage to catching the light! We welcome more into the fold of the theatre and live arts madness, for it is this contagious virus of the 'LIVE' that has kept Theatre going since the time of the Greeks.

If you are young and dream of a life time in the Performing Arts and are willing to do it all — not just say the punch line and enjoy the applause, then the movement awaits you! Today there is viability because we can make it so — there is opportunity because we are willing to make one appear — and there is hope because we 'believe'.

May the new Freedom movement begin and let’s start — Enter Stage right :)
