In the ever-changing market where we operate today, people are constantly looking to upgrade their skills when it comes to technology; and with apps deciding the future of almost every business, Android application development training seems to be the most sought after computer training course.
The growing smartphone market in India has increased the demand for newer computer training courses. This in turn provides numerous career opportunities to the budding app developers in India. A recent study by Sulekha.com analysed over 2 lakh users to find out the online search trends for computer training courses in India.
The study saw a 171 per cent increase in online search for Android application development training this year as compared to 2013. This is followed by Auto CAD training course that has seen an upsurge of 116 per cent this year.
According to the study, the growth in online search for computer training courses increased from 20 per cent in the previous year (2012-13) to 40 per cent this year (2013-14). Of this, about 70 per cent of the searches come from the Tier-1 cities (Chennai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Mumbai and New Delhi) while the rest are from the Tier-2 cities (Coimbatore, Kochi, Thrissur, Agra and Jaipur). Bengaluru leads the search volume for computer training courses, followed by Hyderabad; the search volume in Bengaluru was 43 per cent in 2013 and has leap- frogged to 60 per cent in 2014.
Online searches for various computer training courses in south India saw an overall growth of 64 per cent whereas north India saw a growth of 44 per cent. While students in the south look for more traditional computer courses such as Java, J2EE training and .Net, students in the north seek courses such as Android application training and Web designing.
These trends show that computer training is increasingly seen as a ticket to rising income. With the imminent accelerated growth in mobility and connectivity, we can expect an explosive demand for newer training programmes such as Android application training.
