Blood donation camp: The Government First Grade College at Robertsonpet in Kolar Gold Fields (KGF) organised a blood donation camp in association with Red Cross Society and Rotary Club recently. Inaugurating the camp, Superintendent of Police H.R. Bhagavan Das explained the importance of blood donation. It can help save a life, he said. Students including NSS and NCC cadets donated 110 units of blood at the camp.

Dr. Hemanth of Red Cross Society, Rotary Club president N. Ramakrishna and NCC coordinator Shivakumar participated.

NSS camp: District surgeon of District SNR Hospital Shivanna has expressed grave concern over pollution and unhygienic surroundings in public areas. He was addressing the concluding ceremony of the annual NSS camp of Government College for Boys at Vadagur recenty.

Presiding over the function, former principal of the college A.V. Reddy regretted the tendency of the youth to disrespect parents in recent times. NSS programme officer N. Ramakrishnaiah, and lecturer Prakash Shetty participated.
