Pearl Academy of Fashion (PAF) hosted its annual graduating fashion show, ‘Portfolio 2012’, on June 5 at Le Royal Meridian. Over 41 students from the institute participated. Photographer Venketram was the guest of honour and actor Ganesh Venkatraman was the chief guest.

The event showcased the flair, versatility and innovativeness of PAF students through an extensive array of outfits based on vast themes.

Mr. S. Ramalingam, Director, Pearl Academy of Fashion, Chennai,stated “Portfolio is a culmination of ideas, techniques and design aesthetics of the students. It is a conclusion of four years of learning and entwines knowledge and skill to make a mark on the fashion world.”

The evening saw eclectic mix of celebrities and fashion designers from the industry. Models such as Iris Maity, Dimple Patel, Priya Nayak, Priyanka Diwan and Ruhiwalked the ramp for the new designers, choreographed by fashion choreographer Sheikh Shakir from Mumbai. The design range presented by PAF students from UG batch of 2008-2012 and Post Graduate batch of 2010-2012 of the Fashion Design stream. The students presented their collection under various categories and won awards.
