He said that many of the premises owned Nadu Food Safety and Drug Administration Department recently conducted an awareness programme on ‘Prevention of dengue diseases’ to the food vendors in T. Nagar.

A. Ramaraj, Food Safety Officer, said that Dr. Lakshmi Narayanan, Designated Officer, conducted training sessions on ways to prevent the growth of mosquito larvae and on how to identify breeding grounds. The training by food-business operators were breeding grounds for mosquitoes. The Chennai Corporation and the Food Safety departments have decided to focus on these places as part of their massive awareness drive. Mr. Ramaraj said that they have been distributing pamphlets in the residential and commercial areas as well. He can be contacted on 99400 67099.
