The Loiee Mithai & Rasoi Restaurant in Rajakilpakkam is one of the newer restaurants to have entered the burgeoning food business on the Velachery Main Road. Started in 2013, it has another outlet in Medavakkam.

It offers south Indian meals, north Indian Thaali, Chinese and tandoori dishes, a variety of sweets and savouries, chats, milkshakes, ice-creams, desserts, sandwiches, pizzas and juices.

“The response has been good. We have a mixed crowd. The restaurant is famous for sweets,” says Raja Rajan Pillai, operations manager, said.

It also takes orders for functions, including birthday parties, house-warming ceremonies and engagement functions.

The restaurant has a mini hall, which can accommodate around 150 persons. The hall is also rented out for functions and parties. There are plans to open more branches, including one in Velachery. The restaurant is open from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m. For details, contact 22772654.
