On the occasion of the 80th birthday of Kavignar Vaali, a compilation containing 1000 film songs penned by the poet-lyricist will be released. Organised by Brahma Gana Sabha, the event will be held on November 13, 6 p.m., at Narada Gana Sabha Hall, Chennai. The book will be released by Kamal Haasan and director Shankar will receive the first copy. Nalli Kuppuswamy Chettiar will preside over the function. M. S. Viswanathan, S. P. Muthuraman, Cho, actors Saroja Devi and Suriya, singers P. Suseela and SPB, and poet Pazhani Bharathi felicitate.
