After the immense popularity of the Twilight films, writer Stephenie Meyer’s popular vampire book series Twilight is set to be released as a graphic novel.

Twilight: The Graphic Novel will contain selected text from Meyer’s original novel with illustrations by Korean artist Young Kim, BBC reported online.

“The characters and settings are very close to what I was imagining while writing the series. I’ve enjoyed working on this new interpretation of Twilight ,” Meyer said.

The graphic book will be divided into two parts and the first edition is scheduled to be released on 16 March. “Young has done an incredible job transforming the words that I have written into beautiful images,” Meyer said.

The vampire-based fantasy romance novels have sold over 85 million copies worldwide and the movies have made actors Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart global stars.
