Avanthika

From the time she won the Miss Malabar and Miss Talent in Miss South India titles, Avanthika has set her foot firmly in tinsel town. Since she made her debut in the Malayalam movie Neelakasham Pachakadal Chuvanna Bhoomi , things are falling into place for the big-eyed girl with an endearing smile.

It being a four-heroine script, Avanthika’s task was cut out, but it did just enough to grab eye-balls.

“As the fiancée of Dulquer Salmaan, the footage was good. Playing along with the script and listening to the encouraging words of the unit meant a lot; my comfort level is reflected well in the camera angles, resulting in the good quality of the final product.”

Next up was 8:20 , followed by a comedy, Crocodile Love Story , this time as the main lead. Playing the lead opposite Sudhakar Komakula in the Telugu movie Vundhile Manchi Kalam Mundu Munduna was an experience to cherish for her.

Turning her attention to Kannada, Avanthika had her fill, her pairing with Raghu Mukherjee in Preethiyalli Sahaja getting the approbation of the youthful audience.

With her Tamil film Rajavin Parvai Raniyin Pakkam set to roll on — the title inspired from the famous MGR-starrer Anbe Vaa — Avanthika said her confidence is in the right place, having had an experience in all South languages in a quick span of time.

She teams up with debutant Adhava in Rajavin Parvai ..., which is directed by Azhagu Raj.

Excited to be part of a road travel film from Chennai to Goa, Avanthika said, “It is a romantic comedy based on a true happening in the life of the director. The shooting is due to start and I could not wait to get into the act. Avanthika’s inspiration is Vidya Balan, “who battled the odds to cement her place in the industry”.

Thanks to her accomplished skills in belle, cinematic and semi-classical dances, Avanthika looks all set to be firmly entrenched.
