I love the books, my favourite being The Deathly Hallows. This book actually aroused mixed feelings in me. It finally gives credit to Severus Snape, one of my favourite characters but my other favourites, Fred Weasley and Dobby are killed. But then again, any action is good action! As for the new movie, I don't think there will be spectacular scenes of anything but the one thing that I do look forward to would be stunning visuals. They just keep getting better! - SRINIDHIE NAGARAJAN

Ironically, the books are more realistic, so I'd prefer them any day over the movies. My favourite would be Order of the Pheonix because that is where everything takes a turn towards the darker side. Everything becomes a little more serious and everyone grows up a little. Expectations for the movie? I stopped expecting much from the movie a while ago though the actors and the graphics have been consistently brilliant. I hope the trend continues. - PRARTHANA VENUNATHAN

The one thing I've noticed about the movies is that they skip all the important parts. So, I'd settle for the books any day. My favourite would be the Order of the Phoenix. Sirius Black's death added a much needed twist to the story and Fred and George managed to escape from Hogwarts! Dumbledore's duel with Voldemort was magical. I could go on with instances from the book which made it my favourite. As for the last movie, I think it was a good idea to split the book into two movies. That way, they can actually pay attention to detail. I just hope they do justice to all the detail in the book. - ANURAGH BALAJEE

I'm probably in the minority of people who prefer the movie. I think the second one, the “Chamber of Secrets” has been the best so far. The story and the mystery was gripping but more importantly, the Basilisk was awesome! In the last movie, I would expect more magic, more mystery, a spellbinding climax and a little bit of romance between Ron and Hermione!- RAGINI PILLAIM

My favourite book is The Deathly Hallows and I prefer reading the story to watching it. The last volume was action-packed! It ties up all the loose ends and something unexpected happens in every chapter. As for the movie, I expect it to be one of the best as I think it's going to stick more to the book compared to the last few movies, which is what all the fans want to see. - VIKRAM PHILIP

My vote would be for the books any day and again, I find myself leaning towards Order of the Phoenix as my favourite. The war intensified. Dumbledore suffers while Voldemort strengthens. It was like an awakening of sorts for Harry. I have seen the new movie trailer a million times and I am hooked! I hope the movie wraps up the series in style and makes sure the audience is at the edge of their seats for the most part. What more could we ask for? - VIGNESHWER VAIDYANATHAN
