Director Sharath A. Haridasan says that his debut film, Salalah Mobiles , is a romantic comedy. The film starring Dulquer Salmaan and Nazriya Nazim in the lead released yesterday.

“It’s about Afsal (Dulquer), a laidback youth, who opens a shop dealing in mobile phones called ‘Salalah Mobiles’ in Kozhikode. His uncle, an NRI at Salalah in Oman, has provided the funds for the shop. Some interesting episodes happen involving certain. Shahana (Nazriya) is studying in a nearby college. He falls for her and his antics to know her mind is the main storyline,” says Sharath, who has been directing ad films for the past 14 years.

Ace Tamil comedian Santhanam has done a brief role in the film. “My relationship with him goes back to those early days of his career when he was a TV host,” says Sharath. Jacob Gregory of ‘Akkarakkazhchakal’ fame, who did the hit film ABCD with Dulquer last year, is playing a character named Binoy. Salalah Mobiles is produced under the banner of Anto Joseph Film Company. Satheesh Kurup is the cinematographer while Gopi Sundar has scored the music.
