Suchitra Sen hospitalised, ‘stable’

Yesteryear legendary Bengali film actor Suchitra Sen has been admitted to a private nursing home in south Kolkata. Ms. Sen was admitted to the health facility with infection in the lungs and fever on Friday evening.

Officials at the hospital said on Saturday that her condition remained stable. A five-member medical team was monitoring the vital health parameters of the octogenarian.

Earlier, she was hospitalised in September 2012 and had to undergoe surgery after she suffered a fall at her residence and severely injured her left wrist.

Ms. Sen has also acted in several Hindi films.
