Make way for Lisa

This lissome lass, who's been listed as one of the 50 most beautiful women in India by People magazine, is ready to take the Bollywood plunge. Part-Indian, part-Australian, Lisa Haydon was born in Chennai, and went on to establish herself as a supermodel. She's currently the face of Lakme Cosmetics, and is set to play a firangi beauty and Abhay Deol's love interest in Sonam and Abhay's upcoming “Aisha”.

Small solace?

So what if “Raavan” sunk without a trace? Abhishek Bachchan has a bright spot in his life. He's just won a ‘fresh new talent' award. Television channel Colours has felicitated the actor as a new talent for debuting as host on their ‘Bingo Night' show. If being written off by every critic wasn't enough, wonder if that's one prize AB Baby wanted at all.

Going great guns

Best loved as a villain, actor Murli Sharma is on a high these days. The State Nandi Award winner for Telugu hit “Atithi” has bagged another Telugu project. Directed by Ishwar Reddy and produced by Shyam Prasad, this film has Venu playing the lead, and Murli as, what else, the baddie of the piece. The man is currently stationed in Hyderabad, and also has several Bollywood biggies lined up: “Lamhaa”, “Dabbang”, “Golmaal 3” and “Tees Maar Khan”.
