Patching up
The awards season is here and if there ever was an award for spreading good cheer Farah Khan would win it hands down. Why? Because she has been on a kiss-and-make-up trip since the new year. First, there was a long chat with estranged buddy Shah Rukh Khan in his van which ended with the two hugging each other (very strategically in front of the media, we must add) and now, she has patched up with Sanjay Leela Bhansali. The two directors had crossed swords since the “Om Shanti Om”-“Saawariya” clash at the box office. Wonder if the patch-up has to do with the crash of “Tees Maar Khan”.
Too many cooks
We heard that there is a film titled “Mumbai Cutting” releasing this year, with a multi-star cast comprising Soha Ali Khan, Palash Sen, Jimmy Shergill, Neetu Chandra, Sonali Kulkarni, Vinay Pathak, Ranvijay, Shruti Sheth, Shushant Singh, Reema Lagoo, Tara Sharma, Sachin Khedekar and Raima Sen, among others. If that leaves you gasping for breath then hear this out. The film also has an ensemble directorial mix with as many as 11 directors! What will Sudhir Mishra, Anurag Kashyap, Kundan Shah, Manish Jha, Janu Barua, Rituparno Ghosh, Revati, Rahul Dholaki, Sushank Ghosh, Aiyush Raina and Ruchi Narayan make of this film? We are waiting to see.
Saif picks up the scissors
Guess who has taken over editing of films in Bollywood after Akshay Kumar? It's Saif Ali Khan. Earlier, Aki was notorious for editing out his male co-stars' roles. Saif is not doing that, as there is nobody but him and Kareena in “Agent Vinod”. But director Sriram Raghavan has been reportedly sidelined with the actor-producer sitting at the editing table. Saif apparently doesn't want anything to go wrong with this big-budget project and has decided to do the snip and cut himself.
