Amen to that
For the first time in his career, Indrajith dons the garb of a priest in Lijo Jose Pellisherry’s new musical, Amen . And the actor is all excited. “I play the role of Father Vincent Vattolli, the pastor of a church in a village called Kumaragiri. You won’t figure him out to be a priest when you first encounter him. Father Vincent is a cool, laidback, happy-go-lucky guy who is into music. He is forever to be found with his guitar. He’s become one of my favourite characters ever,” says Indrajith. Amen is the actor’s third film with Lijo after stellar performances in the critically-acclaimed Nayakan and City of God . Fahadh Faasil plays the other lead character in Amen – that of a verger named Solomon, who is in love with Sosanna, enacted by Subramaniapuram -fame Swati Reddy. Meanwhile, scripwriter-turned-actor Natasha Sahgal, plays Indrajith’s love interest in the film.
Sweet bites
Sweet and sultry Kannada beauty Meghana Raj, who’s taken Mollywood by storm, has a sweet tooth, it seems. On the sets of T.K. Rajeevkumar’s Up & Down… Mukalil Oralundu , in which she is essaying a lead role, Meghana is often found indulging in her love for chocolates and junk food. “I’m a chocoholic and need my daily fix of chocolate in any avatar – as sweets, ice-cream, cakes, muffins, biscuits… In fact, I’m such a chocoholic that my middle name could be chocolate!” says the actor with a grin. Then, how does she maintain her svelte figure, we wonder? “I was pleasantly plump as a child and when I hit my teens I decided that I don’t want to be labelled as plump or voluptuous or anything like that. So I started working out and nowadays I follow my fitness regimen to the T. Even if I get only two hours of sleep, I make sure I exercise.”
