If he is not dancing to a peppy number, he is busy singing it. Actor Simbu, it seems, has done it again. The star has sung the opening song of director Arivazhagan's film, “Vallinam,” in which Nakul plays the lead.
A source says, “Director Arivazhagan and music director Thaman are good friends. In fact, the music for the director's superhit ‘Eeram' was composed by Thaman who is now scoring for his ‘Vallinam' as well. The two recently recorded the opening song of the film, which is on basketball. They approached Simbu, who graciously agreed to sing it. The song has come out well. In fact, the director and the music director have plans to make Nakul too sing a song for the film.”
Sona's next
Actor Sona, who recently celebrated her birthday by presenting gifts to children of an orphanage in Adyar, says she is on the lookout for a sensitive director to make a film on her.
Says Sona, whose next film is “2010 Baghyaraj” in which Premji Amaren plays the lead, “I intend to sell the film first. Then, I want someone sensitive to make a movie on my life where I will play myself. I am also looking for an interesting title for my film and if someone can come up with it, I will reward them Rs. 10,000.”
That's not all. The actor, who confined herself to producing movies for a while, has begun acting again.
Says Sona: “I have signed two Malayalam and two Tamil films. One of the films is being made with the intention of setting a record. A crime-thriller directed by Mohammed Gilani, it is to be shot in a single day. I play the lead in it and am happy to be associated with it.”
