A still from Ram Leela

A still from Ram Leela

Deepika Padukone has been weighed down by the demands of her character Leela in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s upcoming Ram Leela. Literally! The film’s first look is out, and the actor plays a rustic belle in it. For this teaser, she had to wear a lehenga weighing 30 kg with 50 mt of cloth! Quite a task it was for the slim actor. Apparently, Deepika had gone street-shopping for traditional jewellery and clothes in Mumbai and Gujarat.

Write on

Abhishek Kapoor, whose film Kai Po Che is based on Chetan Bhagat’s book The 3 Mistakes Of My Life, is going to write a book himself! The film is based in Gujarat and has been in the pre-publicity mode in the State. Some leading publishers from the State have now asked the Rock On!! director to write something that puts together his experience of shooting a film there. And Abhishek has given his nod. He will reportedly start planning the book after he gets back from the world premiere of his film at the 63rd Berlin Film Festival (mid-February) and then his India release on February 22.

Having a blast

Trust Ekta Kapoor to do things ‘differently’. The producer launched the trailer of her upcoming film Shootout At Wadala in five cities live simultaneously! Actors spread across Delhi, Ahmedabad, Mumbai, Hyderabad and Lucknow acted out a live shoot out complete with a car blast! All this, while stunt men ‘entertained’ audiences.
