Like many of the films by director Shankar, the news about the making of Endhiran has so far remained a carefully guarded secret. The director himself has decided to let out some interesting facts about the Rajinikanth-starrer.

His newly launched website >www.directorshankaronline.com has a lot to talk about Endhiran and his other productions.

The experience of the crew that was at Stanwinston Studio to use animatronics technology for the film was shared by him in his website. “Rajini sir and our technical crew had been to Los Angeles for a couple of weeks for scanning, make-up test and pre-production works...

We are excited that we are working at the place where Steven Spielberg, James Cameron and Arnold Schwarzenegger have worked,” he said, on his website.

On the animatronics technology and special make-up of Endhiran, he said that Hollywood’s top technicians worked for four months at Sun Studios in Chennai and 22 scenes in the film have animatronics and special make-ups.

Sources say the website is a vehicle to enhance the popularity of Endhiran and to contain rumours about his films.

A. Vasanthkumar, proprietor, CYours Design Studio that has designed the website, said the website was floated a month ago when Shankar wanted a platform to interact with his fans. “He wanted it to be more visitor-friendly. His official website was deactivated and this was created to connect better with his fans,” Mr. Vasanthkumar said.

With Endhiran shaping up fast, his new website is flooded with questions on discussions about his next project. Responding to one of the mails of his fans, Shankar said: “Many of Vijay and Ajith fans wanted to know when I am going to do a film with them. Already I had ideas of doing Mudhalvan with Vijay. Unfortunately it didn’t happen… If the script suits, I will definitely do films with them.”
