The gorgeous Reema Sen is happy to be back in a commercial entertainer, Mugguru , produced by Ramanaidu and directed by V.N. Aditya. “It's like finishing a wonderful journey and getting back to work with a director who's given the biggest hit of my career. It's been 10 years since Manasantha Nuvve was released and I'm flooded with pleasant memories,” says the actress who's wrapped up her work for the film. Of late, she has done serious films like Aakrosh , Aayirathil Oruvan (Yuganiki Okkadu), Chal Chala Chal and is glad to do commercial entertainers. At the end of the day, reaching out to people and doing films to entertain them is what matters, she says.
Talking about commercial cinema, she says, “In the beginning of one's career, there is this passion to do some meaningful cinema, but one also needs to do films that collect money, even if it means running around trees.” She doesn't want to hear comments such as “she is good but the film was boring!”
She's happy with her choice of films so far, being one of the very few actresses to have had simultaneous debut in Hindi, Telugu, Tamil in the same year. The actress was confident about her work right from day one and never apprehensive, but now she's a lot more patient and says she understands the trade better. She remarks, “People work hard for years to get a hit but it came easily to me. Life was a picnic; so I never understood the depth or the value of what I had got.”
On the rumours about the supposed cameo in Avan Ivan ( Vaadu Veedu ), she says the news is not true at all. She adds, “People can't write personal stuff about me, so they cook up something. I'm not feeling awkward about it though. I take it with a pinch of salt. People will write no matter what, speculations are a part of an actor's life, it's an evil necessity; you learn to ignore it.” Currently Reema is working on Society , a Hindi comedy, playing a fiery role in Gangs of Wasseypur with Akshay and there's a Malayalam movie The King And The Commissioner . Reema describes herself as a very boring person, when she isn't shooting; all she does is reading and relaxing.
