Nothing objectionable in Aarakshan: Anand

Super30 founder and math wizard, who helped Amitabh Bachchan and Saif Ali Khan prepare for their role as math teachers in Aarakshan , on Saturday said there was nothing objectionable in the movie.

“The movie does not warrant a ban. There’s no caste feeling,” Mr. Kumar, who runs his institute for underprivileged students, said here.

He held that the film had a social message that reservation did not come in way of those serious about education.

Producer-Director Prakash Jha had praised Mr. Kumar saying he used the maths wizard’s teaching skills and body language to direct Amitabh Bachchan and Saif Ali Khan, who played the role of maths teachers in the films.

Meanwhile, barring the RJD, most other political parties including the ruling NDA have not commented on the screening of the of the film.

A ten-member RJD team, led by its state president Ramchandra Purve saw the film on Friday. Mr. Purve said his party would review it before taking a decision.
