Akshay Kumar's cameo for Lara?
Glam girl Lara Dutta and art-house actor Vinay Pathak are coming together in Chalo Dilli . This situational comedy is helmed by Shashant Shah of Dasvidaniya fame and co-produced by Eros and Lara's husband, Mahesh Bhupathi.
This film also boasts a surprise cameo by a biggie, and the buzz is Akshay Kumar is the surprise package. After all, Lara began her career in an Akshay-starrer ( Andaaz ) and has regularly worked with him since, in Bhagambhag, Blue and Housefull .
While Shashant confirms, “The star cameo is part of the surprise of the story”, he adds, “whether it is Akshay Kumar, Mahesh Bhupathi or Shah Rukh Khan, I don't want to reveal now.”
Buzz cut
Tusshar Kapoor has a new look in his forthcoming film, Shorr . The actor smiles: “It is a buzz cut.”
The very short haircut, however, happened by chance. Tusshar says: “I had come down from another film's outdoor shoot and met my Shorr directors, Raj and DK. They said they were going to give me a haircut.” Since his trusted hairstylist Aalim was at the helm of affairs, Tusshar didn't pay much attention till he found that most of his tresses had been chopped off.
Quite pleased with his look, Tusshar states: “This is the shortest hair cut I have ever sported.”
Abhishek Bachchan against drug abuse
Abhishek Bachchan, who plays a cop in Rohan Sippy's Dum Maaro Dum , has taken a leaf out of his reel life in real life too. Recently, Abhishek flagged off ‘Awareness Run Against Drug Abuse' on the 25th Anniversary of Narcotics Control Bureau — a national nodal agency for all drug-related matters.
The junior Bachchan spoke of how citizens could join the fight against drug abuse along with the NGOs working with the Government. Abhishek made sure he took time off his busy schedule to participate in this cause because he believes schedules should be worked around causes such as these.
Aishwarya, not the most beautiful?
When Hugh Jackman, who has been awarded the title of the Sexiest Man Alive by People magazine, came down to India to attend FICCI Frames, he was awarded by Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. Jackman joked, “I was told that I was going to be awarded by the best looking actress in the world, which I thought was my wife. I'm smart; I have my wife sitting in the audience.” He added: “Aishwarya is one of the most beautiful actresses in the world.”
When asked about losing her long-held title of the ‘Most beautiful Actress In The World', Aishwarya showed she had a sense of humour. She smiled: “No regrets there. He is a very smart husband; every husband is wonderful when he acknowledges his wife.”
