Hrithik in Tussauds
Hrithik Roshan has finally joined the Bollywood brigade to have their wax statue installed at Madame Tussauds in London. The youngest male actor from Bollywood to be bestowed this honour, Hrithik unveiled his statue modelled after his famous Dhoom 2 look — sporting a red sleeveless shirt that revealed his chiselled abs. His family comprising his parents, Rakesh and Pinky Roshan, grandfather J Om Prakash, wife Susanne and their two sons, Hrehaan and Hridaan, turned up to support the Bollywood actor.
Cherishing his first experience at the museum, Hrithik recalled, “I was nine years old, holidaying in London with my family when my grandfather and I went to Madame Tussauds. We had to wait in queue for 45 minutes and while I was jumping up and down impatiently, my grandfather (filmmaker J Om Prakash) waited patiently. I even told him that we should go and return the next day, but my grandfather waited till we could enter Madame Tussauds. Today, I feel my grandfather's like that excited child I was.”
Aamir Khan's earrings
You would have seen Aamir Khan of late, sporting a stubble and earrings. While Salman Khan and others have popularised wearing a ring in one ear, trust Aamir to be different. He wears it in both ears.
Wife Kiran, however, lets us in on a secret — Aamir is sporting the same earrings that he wore in Lagaan as the rustic Bhuvan. Interestingly, these earrings are owned by Kiran Rao, who was then working as an assistant director on Lagaan .
Dancing with emotion
Urmila Matondkar returns to the spotlight after a gap of nearly two years as a judge on the dance show, ‘Chak Dhoom Dhoom', in which she replaces fellow ‘Mehbooba mehbooba' dancer, Mallika Sherawat. Urmila was last seen on TV on another dance show, ‘Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa', so it became necessary to ask her what she notices in a contestant as a judge.
The ‘Tanha tanha' girl deliberates a lot before answering: “There are many things I can say — the technique, the foot work, etc., but the best dance is the one which is done from the heart.” As regards the battle between technique and emotion, Urmila says, “There cannot be a dance without emotion. Also there cannot be dance without technicality. Sachin Tendulkar is pure technique, but when he bats, all of it looks like magic.”
