Charmme Kaur was shooting for her first Bollywood film with Amitabh Bachchan and Sonu Sood when she landed her next one — Zila Ghaziabad which released this Friday.

“The producer of Zila Ghaziabad , Vinod Bachchan, came on the sets of Bbuddah Hoga Tera Baap to meet Sonu Sood and to sign him for a film and I met up with him. After a few days, Vinodji was casting for Zila Ghaziabad and he asked Sonu Sood for some reference and that’s how I came into picture. Sonu suggested my name and Vinodji signed me for the film,” says Charmme, enthused about her second Bollywood outing that has had a delayed release. The story of warring gang lords, Zila Ghaziabad stars Sanjay Dutt, Vivek Oberoi and Arshad Warsi in pivotal roles. Charmme plays Paresh Rawal’s daughter and Vivek Oberoi’s love interest in the film.

“I play a Ghaziabadi girl. My look, accent and clothes suit my character. As I have been in Hyderabad for the last 12 years, I have a southern accent. So after every shot, the director, who is from Delhi, would sit with me and teach me how to speak good Hindi!” she says.

This youngster has worked with some of Bollywood’s leading names in the film. She says, “Vivek Oberoi is amazing when it comes to acting. He is a professional; he comes to the sets on time, completes his shots and leaves. He is a family man and loves spending time with his family. Arshad and I became very good friends and we are still in touch. He is fun to hang out with, is a great actor and makes you very comfortable on the sets. I don’t have a scene with Sanjay Dutt in the film but I met him once.”

Charmme, who is an established name in Telugu cinema has just shot for a song with Ramcharan in the film Nayak which is a huge hit. “I want to do more Hindi films; actually who doesn’t? I guess now I have the experience and it is the right time to give Bollywood a proper shot.”

She is currently shooting for two Telugu films — Prema Oka Maikam and M H Raju’s Rum . “ Prema Oku Maikam is a story about a writer, a singer and a commercial sex worker girl. I play a commercial sex worker in the film. There are some Bollywood offers too but I can’t talk about them now,” she says with a smile.
