Actor Karthi, one of the most eligible bachelors in Kollywood, got engaged on April 29.
The star, along with his brother actor Suriya and other family members, was at Kumarasamy Goundampalayam, a village near Kodumudi in Erode District, for the ceremony.
He is engaged to Ranjani, a post graduate in English Literature from Stella Maris College in Chennai.
Her parents, Chinnasamy and Jothimeenakshi, are natives of Erode District.
A large number of men and women from the village and neighbouring areas gathered at the village temple, where Karthi and his family members offered prayers before leaving for the bride's home.
Over 200 guests participated in the ceremony. Karthi and Ranjani will tie the knot on July 3.
