The IIFA weekend ended on a very high note as celebrities enthralled a star struck Spain with their power packed performances who in turn cheered and rooted for their favourites at the award nights extravaganza. In a win-win situation the crowds also got a chance to hear some anecdotes about their favourite actors and they heard them sing or shake a leg during the show too.
While the green carpet was completely taken over by the Stars who walked down wearing their red carpet best they also patiently answered many of the media questions. Deepika Padukone, Ranvir Singh, Priyanka Chopra, Karan Johar, Fawad Khan, Shahid Kapoor, Sonakshi Sinha were clearly the crowd favourites.
Newcomers and debut IIFA entrants like Athiya Shetty, Sooraj Pancholi, Tiger Shroff, Bhumi Pednekar also garnered cheer. IIFA regulars like Bipasha, Neha Duphia, Gulshan Grover, Anil Kapoor, Hrithik Roshan, Manish Paul, Neil Nitin Mukesh were the sought after stars by the audience and media alike.
Right from the opening act as Raju and Pappu aka Farhan Akhtar and Shahid Kapoor entered on their donkeys, rode around the stage on their Hero cycles, made their colleagues like Anill Kapoor, Hrithik Roshan, Ranvir Singh shake a leg and sing long with them — they were a riot till the very end.
The star studded performances by Priyanka who danced her signature number Pinga from Bajirao Mastani , Deepika who also danced to the other songs from Bajirao Mastani , Tiger Shroff's ode to his inspiration Michael Jackson and the current favourites Athiya and Sooraj Pancholi's act — each one was special and outstanding.
The audience sang and danced along and cheered them on only wanting more. Sonakshi Sinha's ode to her favourite actor Sridevi from all her famous numbers including Hawa Hawaii, only added more cheer especially as Sridevi also won the Life Time Achievement Award at the IIFA 2016.
