While there is growing concern about cases of obesity in India, veejay-turned-actor Rhea Chakraborty says she feels lucky to be “blessed with good genes.” Someone who begins her day with a bar of chocolate, Rhea says fitness for her is a level which just doesn’t exist and she prefers staying away from a gym regime.

“People eat to live but as far as I am concerned, I live to eat and it adds an extra glow to my skin,” says Rhea who after hosting many shows on MTV has just debuted in Bollywood with the film Mere Dad Ki Maruti . The actor calls herself a true foodie and shares with us with an extra dollop of glee that she “just can’t stop” herself when it comes to chocolates, non-vegetarian food and yes, street food too.

“Chocolate is there in my name itself, so how can I stay away from it?” she asks jocularly.

The actor also calls herself a sports freak. She is into basketball, badminton and swimming and says, “I am ever ready for any kind of sport as I have been into games since my school days.”

Asked about her stand on popping slimming pills to keep oneself in shape, the vivacious actor is candid, “It is really stupid to adopt such ways of losing some kilos. It is always safe to be natural and join a gym perhaps or practice yoga instead of following an unnatural path. Eat less and burn more should be the mantra for them. But I can understand that for some, it may be the only way to be in shape and get rid of the pounds instantly.”

Rhea who believes talking is the best way to lose calories, signs off saying she loves to chatter throughout the day.
