Looks like actor Vivek is serious about his role, off-screen too. Apparently, former President Abdul Kalam had asked the actor to plant saplings for a better environment. Following this, Vivek had set a target of one crore saplings. He has so far planted 21.5 lakh saplings, and will continue this. Meanwhile, on the acting front, Vivek is looking forward to Naan Thaan Bala, in which he plays the lead.
On a high note
With Veeram becoming a big hit, its music composer Devi Sri Prasad is on a high. Film buffs say that one of the movie’s talking points is its music. In a brief chat following the film’s success, DSP, who had asked the film’s lead actor Ajith Kumar to record a piece in his own voice at his studio gushes, “It was a great experience to work with Ajith. He came to my studio and despite recording the piece in a jiffy, he stayed on and went around my studio soaking in its ambience. He spoke about my work and music in general. For a star of his stature, he comes across as an unassuming person.”
Interesting role
Aishwarya Dhanush’s film after 3 is Vai Raja Vai. It has Gautham Karthik and Priya Anand in the lead. We hear that the latest to join the film is Taapsee, for a cameo. “When I heard that Aishwarya wanted to cast me in a small role, I was not interested. However, since she was not ready to take a no, I listened to the story. It was not only interesting, but was also different. And, I gave my yes!” says Taapsee. She will be shooting for her role this month.
