Manju Warrier is definitely going places. After a high profile comeback before the camera with Amitabh Bachchan for the television commercial of Kalyan Jewellers, Manju will soon be sharing screen space with the Bachchan bahu , Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, also a brand ambassador of Kalyan.

V.A. Shrikumar, managing director and chief executive officer of his creative agency, Push Integrated Communications, who is directing the ad is tight-lipped about the storyline. “We already shot Manju’s scenes at Varikkassery Mana in Ottappalam and will be shooting Aishwarya’s scenes in Mumbai later this month,” says Shrikumar, who had also directed Manju’s ad with Amitabh. The new ad in Malayalam is being shot as part of the inauguration of the new Kalyan Jewellers showroom in Thiruvananthapuram, which will be inaugurated by Aishwarya and Manju.

Meanwhile, Manju’s arrival at Varikkassery Mana for the shoot had generated a lot of buzz, since she was returning to this favourite location of Malayalam filmmakers after 16 years. She had last shot for Aaram Thamburan at the location. “Manju was quite ecstatic when we shot the scenes. She kept on talking about Unnimaya (her character in Aaram Thamburan ). A lot of people had turned up to see her. In fact, Velappan, who was then the location manager, came to see her in spite of his ill health. That was an emotional moment for Manju,” Shrikumar adds.
