Still basking in the success of her newly-released Tamil action movie “Vettai”, actress Sameera Reddy can't stop talking about how happy she is with the response the movie has received. Known particularly to be a glam girl in both Bollywood as well as in the south, she's thrilled to have made an impact as a village belle in this film.

In a telephonic interview, she says: “I can't be more grateful to my director N. Linguswamy for having cast me in this film. He always has a way of reaching the hearts of the masses through his work and ‘Vettai' was no exception.” Of the role she's played, Sameera states: “It really pushed me out of my comfort zone. My character was a constant jabberer and she was too fiery, though simultaneously cute. That's really far removed from the kind of person I am in real life so it was a good experience to experiment and discover a new side to the actor in me.”

Her co-stars were Arya, and R. Madhavan. “Madhavan is a respectable person and actor and it's always nice working with him. Arya is that young, dashing, suave guy who is a whole lot of fun on the sets,” Sameera opines. But what she's looking forward to now is her next movie “Tezz” to be released in April 2012. This upcoming Hindi action thriller directed by Priyadarshan features an ensemble cast including Ajay Devgn, Anil Kapoor, Mohanlal, Kangna Ranaut, Sameera Reddy and Zayed Khan in the main roles.

According to her, “Despite it being a slick action film of international standards, there is an emotional touch to it. I'm so into action that it was just too much fun performing all those stunts, whether it was on the bike or it included white water rafting! It is also a drama film that is all about being able to fight and survive.” Completely in awe of him, she is absolutely convinced that her co-star Anil Kapoor is her lucky charm. “All my films with him have been major hits so I'm sure this one will be no exception.”

She's also in talks with producers for two films in the south while she's been signed up on Nagesh Kukunoor's “Yeh Hosla” a woman-oriented film. “It's not the easiest thing to dabble with different film industries at the same time,” she points out. Work definitely keeps her busy most of the time but being the fun loving person she is, she always manages to find a way to relax. Sameera loves exploring adventure sports, whether it is trekking or scuba diving.
