Ace actor Alencier is going places with his sterling act in many of the recent movies that touched base with viewers. His role in Kammatipaadam , directed by cinematographer-turned-director Rajeev Ravi, is winning him accolades. Mathai, his character in the film, in which several actors, newcomers and veterans, are attracting eyeballs with their superb histrionic skills, stands out on account of his subtle way of fleshing out the character.

“There was a casting team that did a good job in selecting the actors in Kammatipaadam ,” he says. Mathai, his role, is a businessman’s close associate who puts his boss in touch with the local guys who do the dirty work for the shady real estate dealer.

At present, the actor par extraordinaire, is acting in Thoppil Joppan , a Mammootty-starrer directed by Johny Antony.

“The protagonist, essayed by Mammootty, is a bachelor and kabbadi player, with a close circle of friends. I play Pappichan, one of the friends who is with him through thick and thin. Worshippers of Bachus, the friends and Joppan, all alcoholics, are hell bent on living life on their terms. It is a complete entertainer,” says Alencier. The movie is being shot in Thodupuzha.

His role in Maheshinte Prathikaram has also been appreciated for his realistic acting.

Looks like the talented theatre actor has found his place under the sun in cinema.
