The seventh edition of the prestigious ‘CMS Vatavaran Environment and Wildlife Film Festival’, is set to be held in Delhi from December 4 to 8, 2013. It’s an opportunity for wildlife filmmakers, researchers and environment experts from across the globe to watch and discuss the best of world cinema on wildlife and the environment.

For the competition section of the fete, entries have been invited from Indian and international filmmakers for shorts, documentaries and feature films on wildlife and environment. As usual there are several categories under which the entries can be submitted such as biodiversity, climate change and sustainable technologies, environmental conservation, water for all, newcomer, animation, livelihood public service announcements, and so on.

This year, feature films have also been added to the competition section. Under this category, the award will be given to the best full-length production, 80 minutes or longer, which highlights environment and wildlife concerns and conservation initiatives. However, one film can be submitted for one category only. There are 17 awards in 10 Indian categories and these awards carry a citation, a trophy and a cash prize ranging from Rs. 50,000 to Rs. 1, 50,000.
