Arjun and Shaam in Oru Melliya Kodu

High hopes

Fresh from the film institute, director Jai will be making his feature film debut with Plus or Minus , starring Abi Saravanan, Gayatri, and Jaishree. “I play a double role in the film,” says Abi Saravanan, whose last release was S. A. Chandrasekhar’s Touring Talkies . “The characters are based on the fact that human beings have both negative and positive sides to their psyche. How this duality affects relationships is the focus of the script.” Abi will also be seen next in director Saravanan’s Sagasam , a horror film that also stars Prashanth and Irayan

A mysterious film

Known for films such as Kuppi and Vanayudham , director A. M. R. Ramesh is treading new territory with his forthcoming Oru Melliya Kodu . Starring Arjun, Manisha Koirala, and Aqsa Bhat, Oru Melliya Kodu that also has Shaam in an important role, is a murder mystery. “Arjun plays a police officer. I cannot reveal much about Shaam’s character, as it is crucial to the plot. In Aksha Bhat, I have found real talent; she will do justice to an important character in the film,” says Ramesh, who will start shooting in a couple of weeks.
